Our founders, with experience at or with every major media agency, recognized the need for a better approach. They saw a model that had grown hollow, prioritizing margins over client innovation and reducing agencies to mere activation arms for brands.
myth #1: Agencies provide media recommendations in your best intEREST
Very frequently agencies pick certain media channels based upon a channel having higher commission rates or recommend vendors because an agency needs to hit their spend threshold with a vendor for certain rates.
At Do Loco we don’t have different commission rates for each media channel, and we do not recommend partners because of larger commitments made to a vendor.


myth #2: AGENCIES HAVE THE BEST TALENT
You’ll find a few rockstars at every agency, but the challenge is they’re spread out across accounts at that agency and when they want to hire someone new the agencies don’t allow for a more rigorous interview process and instead settle for basic media questions to hire faster.
At Do Loco we were founded by rockstars that want to be surrounded by only the best. We have adopted hiring practices similar to management consulting companies with a focus on identifying the best in the industry through a mix of case study, exams, and more rigorous interviews.

You ever sit in a meeting, being pitched by a new media agency with tons of promises then once you sign on the dotted line you hear for the next two years that they’re still working on what they promised or the big transformation they promised yielded minimal results? So have we!
Our team is made up of individuals with client and agency side experience who have been through this song and dance too many times. When we discuss becoming your agency partner, we only bring forth what’s possible with detailed timelines for deployment. We will never pitch something we know isn’t feasible just to get your business.
